Majorcan embroidery was very important in past centuries, but now it is in danger of extinction. Most of the women are elderly and there are currently no young people acquiring this knowledge.’

Colour: raw copper black / fluorescent yellow on beige.

Inspiration: antique embroidery on men’s waistcoats from 1840.

Materials: hand-embroidered in Binissalem with cotton thread on a linen jacket.

Fabric: 100% GOTS certified organic linen, made in Barcelona.
