The new edition of LOOP Disseny i Circularitat creates new products from the waste of the Fundació Deixalles workshops.

After initiatives focused on promoting design and research into new materials, LOOP Disseny i Circularitat now brings to the table the need to turn waste into a source of resources to make new products, in short, to apply circularity to give value to what is initially rejected. And it does so through the Fundació Deixalles and its project “Fem que circuli”, which posed a challenge to IDI, to offer a new life to the materials collected in the household, business and hotel sectors.
From here, the IDI, through LOOP, proposed the creation of sustainable and circular solutions based on the available resources and with design as a discipline capable of adding value. To this end, it commissioned designers to create new products using the waste collected by Deixalles. The result was some twenty prototypes created by eight designers using Deixalles’ post-consumer material and produced by four local workshops.
